- Build failure during the 2026-07-07 “build all packages for x86_64”
private-repo release pass (see
repo_release_logs/maintained_kcm-fcitx.log).
- Needs
fcitx-qt5, knewstuff5, kcmutils5 – none of these exist anywhere in
this arch/ tree. Same external-dependency-not-in-this-tree class as
memory/dbmodel-qt4.md/memory/kchmviewer.md.
- Not fixed as part of this pass.
- 2026-07-30: retried –
knewstuff5/kcmutils5 now resolve fine from official
extra (must have been re-added since the note above), and user had published
fcitx-qt5 to archlinuxaba. Still failed though: fcitx-qt5 itself depends
on fcitx (the base fcitx4 daemon/lib), which is not in archlinuxaba
(error: cannot resolve "fcitx", a dependency of "fcitx-qt5"). Same pattern
as qt5-webengine’s missing qt5-webchannel dep (see memory/kchmviewer.md)
– fcitx-qt5’s own dependency chain is incomplete in the private repo, not
something wrong with kcm-fcitx’s PKGBUILD. Needs fcitx published to
archlinuxaba too before retrying.
- 2026-08-02: fixed. Vendored
fcitx from AUR (see memory/fcitx.md),
which resolved the last missing link in the dependency chain. Built+published
cleanly (0.5.6-4, + kcm-fcitx-debug), x86_64.
