boost-65-compat
- Path: arch/maintained/boost-65-compat
- Build failure during the 2026-07-07 “build all packages for x86_64”
private-repo release pass (see
repo_release_logs/maintained_boost-65-compat.log).
makedepends needs python312 (and python-numpy, also listed missing
in the same failed transaction). error: target not found: python312 –
a specific versioned Python package that no longer exists in the official
Arch repos (Arch has moved on to newer default python/versioned
packages since this PKGBUILD was written), and isn’t vendored in this
tree.
- Same environment-drift class as
memory/p2c.md. Not fixed as part of
this pass – would need pinning to whatever versioned Python package (if
any) is actually available now, or vendoring python312 into this tree.
- 2026-07-31: unblocked – user built+published
python312 to
archlinuxaba directly (same ad-hoc-outside-this-tree pattern as
exomizer/gconf/gtk-sharp-2/etc., see TOOLING_NOTES.md);
python-numpy already resolved fine from official extra. Built and
published cleanly on x86_64 on the first try, no PKGBUILD changes
needed – boost-65-compat-1.65.1-11 plus its -libs and -debug
subpackages.
