• Path: arch/maintained/cmake3 (new – vendored from AUR 2026-08-02 to unblock yabause-qt5)
• 2026-08-02: added as a submodule from AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/cmake3.git, https since AUR’s git-ssh endpoint was down for maintenance). Despite the name/memory notes elsewhere describing this as “an old CMake major version”, the AUR cmake3 package is actually current CMake 3.31.6 built from git with provides=(cmake)/conflicts=(cmake) – lets a system pin to the 3.x line instead of extra/cmake’s 4.x. Heavy build (full qt6-base + ~166 packages pulled in as buildtime deps for cmake-gui), but built+published cleanly (3.31.6-2, + cmake3-debug), x86_64.
