Category: local-install (proprietary AUR binary package, not maintained here — we just rebuild+republish upstream’s PKGBUILD as-is).

2026-09-20 — first publish

• Not previously tracked anywhere in arch/. Fresh git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/dropbox.git into /data/INSTALL/dropbox, no prior local checkout to back up.
• arch=(x86_64) only — upstream ships a prebuilt dropbox-lnx.x86_64-<pkgver>.tar.gz blob, no source build, so this package can never be arch-expanded.
• Has validpgpkeys (Dropbox’s own signing key for the tarball) — ran arch/scripts/update_pgp_key_dir.sh from inside the package dir before building. Key: 1C61A2656FB57B7E4DE0F4C1FC918B335044912E.
• namcap flags a pile of expected noise for a vendored proprietary blob: custom:Dropbox not a valid SPDX id, ELF files outside a “valid” path (opt/), missing libatomic/libffi deps, dozens of “unused shared library” warnings from the bundled Python runtime. None of this is actionable — it’s how upstream’s own PKGBUILD ships it. Don’t chase these on future rebuilds.
• Build succeeded first try, ~76.8 MiB package, published clean to archlinuxaba (repo_build_staged.sh → repo_sign.sh → repo_publish.sh, all exit 0). The checkpkg/repo_publish.sh “target not found: dropbox” / “Package matching ‘dropbox’ not found” messages are expected for a first-ever publish (nothing to diff against/replace) — not failures.
• Added local-install/dropbox to arch/scripts/install_only_packages.
