Build notes (2026-08-17)

• Upstream AUR PKGBUILD declares arch=('x86_64' 'i686'). x86_64 builds fine; i686 fails with the same broken 32-bit libpangoft2/fontconfig symbol issue as jwm (see memory/jwm.md): gtk-query-immodules-2.0: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: FcConfigSetDefaultSubstitute, which cascades into gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory (the broken gtk-update-icon-cache/ gtk-query-immodules step aborts the makedepends install before headers land). Not a gatotray-git PKGBUILD defect — external to this package.
• User is downgrading pango on the affected 32-bit machines to fix the underlying fontconfig symbol mismatch (2026-08-17) — once done, retry i686 here (and revisit jwm’s i686/pentium4 too, same root cause).
