ogmrip
- Path: arch/maintained/ogmrip
- Build failure during the 2026-07-07 “build all packages for x86_64”
private-repo release pass. Needs
gconf/libglade, legacy GNOME2-era
packages not in this arch/ tree (external-dependency class, see
memory/dbmodel-qt4.md). Not fixed as part of this pass.
- 2026-07-29/30: unblocked – user built+published
gconf and
libglade to archlinuxaba directly (same ad-hoc-outside-this-tree
pattern as exomizer, see memory/passport.md/TOOLING_NOTES.md).
Rest of depends/makedepends (mencoder, enca, faac, lame,
libtheora, etc.) all resolved from official extra. Built and
published ogmrip-1.0.1-8-x86_64 cleanly on the first try, no
PKGBUILD changes needed.
- 2026-08-14, rebuilt again as part of an ad hoc
list.eurobuild1
batch (user request, alongside several fresh gconf/libglade
rebuilds — see their own memory files, now formalized under a
local-install category in scripts/install_only_packages rather
than the informal “ad-hoc-outside-this-tree” pattern this note and
TOOLING_NOTES.md describe from 2026-07-29/30). First attempt
failed with pacman “corrupted package (checksum)” errors for exactly
gconf/libglade — a stale/bad entry in the shared
/var/cache/archbuild32 cache from around the same time those two
were freshly republished, not an ogmrip problem. Pacman’s own
“corrupted package, delete it? [Y/n]” prompt (auto-accepted under
--noconfirm) already cleaned it up; a plain retry redownloaded
correctly and built fine — 1.0.1-8, version unchanged. If this
happens again right after publishing a fresh dependency, just retry
once before investigating further.
