x86_64-elf-binutils

Cross-binutils for the x86_64-elf target (bare-metal OS dev). Tracks upstream GNU binutils releases directly via .nvchecker.toml (same regex/ source as [[i686-elf-binutils]]).

Upstream maintainer note from AUR comments: original AUR maintainer (marcthe12) disowned the package in 2019 (“switched to gentoo”); this repo’s copy has since carried validpgpkeys etc. fixes contributed via AUR comments over the years.

2026-07-27: 2.46.0-1 -> 2.47-1

Routine pkgver bump, same cycle as [[i686-elf-binutils]]’s 2.47 bump. updpkgsums sha256 matched i686-elf-binutils’s 2.47 update exactly (both pull the identical binutils-2.47.tar.xz upstream tarball, just configured for a different --target) – a useful sanity check when both cross-binutils packages get bumped together.

Test build via extra-x86_64-build succeeded; checkpkg’s “target not found” warning is expected/benign on a version bump (no prior-version repo entry to diff against locally), not a real failure.

Checked: no x86_64-elf-gcc-style compiler package exists in this tree, and nothing here depends on this package, so nothing downstream needed a rebuild or pkgrel bump alongside this version bump.
